Our Oklahoma online Pre-License course is approved by OREC and provides you with the required 90 hours of instruction that will prepare you to take the real estate examination through Pearson VUE. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate that will need to be submitted to OREC before taking the exam and receiving your Provisional Sales Associate license.

The Provisional Sales Associate examination is available to take through Pearson VUE (testing centers) and is no longer available through the Real Estate Commission. Please read the procedures to take the examination here: Testing Procedures. Additionally, OREC has announced the examination will be comprised of a State section and a National section. The common law of agency will be included in the National section.

Steps to Licensing in Oklahoma:
    1. Meet Prerequisites: Be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma/GED, and be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
    2. Complete Education: Complete the 90-hour Provisional Sales Associate pre-license course through an approved OREC provider.
    3. Background Check: Complete a fingerprint-based background check through IdentoGO.
    4. Pass Exam: Pass the Oklahoma Provisional Sales Associate exam administered by Pearson VUE. The exam covers national and state topics, with a required score of 70%.
    5. Find a Sponsoring Broker: Select a licensed broker to sponsor your license, which is required to operate in Oklahoma.
    6. Apply for License: Submit your application and fees to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission (OREC).
