MANDATORY National Background Check Information

NOTICE - Please make sure to scroll down and read the entire page!!!

As of January 1, 2008 all applicants for a new license in real estate must complete a national criminal history check. This is NOT required for those seeking a Sales Associate license from a Provisional Sales Associate license.

You will be required to:

1) Pay for and submit fingerprints

2) Part A of the license application

3) Fee of $41.00 to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission

ATTENTION: It may take up to 60 days from the time you submit your prints, Part A and your fee. We STRONGLY suggest you start this process prior to taking the exam at the Commission but submit your application, prints, and fee NO SOONER than 60 days before taking the exam.

Please keep in mind the background check is valid only for 6 months from issuance.

ADDTIONALLY:

You are required to submit with your application proof of citizenship or qualified alien status with evidence of such AND the Proof of Citizenship form. Please read the form for examples of acceptable evidence.

Please note: You must have this form notarized and the Commission does NOT notarize.
